Tom Hayes is a managing director for the investment banking group at D.A. Davidson & Co. He specializes in structuring mergers and acquisitions, evaluating strategic alternatives and facilitating public and private offerings of equity and debt for financial institutions. He has completed well over 100 transactions for financial institutions including public and private offerings of debt and equity, both buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, branch purchases and sales, valuations and other financial advisory services. He has consistently been ranked as one of the nation’s most active M&A bankers in the financial services space according to S&P Capital IQ. Mr. Hayes was a recipient of the 2016 Emerging Leaders Award, given annually by the M&A Advisor.
Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Mr. Hayes served as a financial analyst with D.A. Davidson through the firm’s summer internship program.

Chuck Stubbs is managing director and co-head of financial institutions investment banking at D.A. Davidson & Co. He has provided financial advisory services to community banks and thrifts for over 20 years, including mergers and acquisitions advisory, valuations, fairness opinions and strategic planning. Mr. Stubbs has represented both buyers and sellers in merger transactions, peer mergers and branch acquisitions and divestitures. He also has extensive experience assisting financial institutions with public and private offerings of equity and debt.
Prior to joining D.A. Davidson in 2019, Mr. Stubbs was senior vice president for financial services investment banking at Raymond James & Associates, Inc., which he joined in 2011 as part of the merger with Howe Barnes Hoefer & Arnett, Inc. He previously held positions in the investment banking group at Trident Securities, a division of McDonald Investments Inc. and in corporate finance at First Union Corporation.
