Tax reform could be a net positive for the banking industry, with an expected long-term boost to profits due to a significant cut in the corporate tax rate, from 35 percent to 21 percent. Its proponents believe that it will fuel the broader economy as well. But despite the anticipated net gains, boards and management teams need to look at how tax reform will impact their organizations.
