Liz Magennis is president of ConnectOne Bank, a leading commercial bank with over $9 billion in assets, serving the New York, New Jersey and South Florida markets. Ms. Magennis holds over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. She is responsible for the growth, function and strategic direction of the bank.
Ms. Magennis joined ConnectOne Bank in 2006 and has played an integral role in growing the company to a top-performing bank with industry-leading metrics. Under her leadership, the bank has experienced record organic growth, expanded its footprint into new markets, built a robust loan portfolio and made significant strides in the digital space.
Prior to joining CNOB, Ms. Magennis held roles in the banking industry such as vice president and commercial loan officer at Bergen Commercial Bank, SBA underwriter/lender at Sovereign Bank, vice president and branch manager of Commercial Bank of NY and senior personal banker for Bank of New York.

Lisa Oliver is the chair, president and CEO of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, a $1.4B mutual bank in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Ms. Oliver is the first woman to hold the president and CEO role in its 100-year history, and she was named the bank’s first chair of the board in 2020.
Ms. Oliver has spoken at Bank Director and Bank on Women conferences about the bank’s 50% gender diversity and LGBTQ representation on its senior team, as well as attaining near parity on the board of directors in gender diversity, with ethnic and millennial representation. This accomplishment earned recognition by Bank Director as a top bank for board diversity.
Before The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, Ms. Oliver held strategic leadership roles for 25 years at KeyCorp, a $172 billion institution, her last as executive vice president and national executive for business banking.

1st Source Bank
Andrea Short is president and CEO of 1st Source Bank. Ms. Short began her career at 1st Source Bank in 1998 as tax director. In September of 2001, she was promoted to vice president and controller. She was promoted to senior vice president in 2011, and CFO and principal accounting officer in 2013. In October of 2014, she was promoted to executive vice president and given responsibility for loan and retail operations. In July of 2020, Ms. Short added the role of president of 1st Source Bank, and a year later relinquished the CFO role to focus all her energies as president. Ms. Short was promoted to president and CEO in December 2022.

Michelle King is president of Bank Director and FinXTech. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the strategy and financial performance of the company. Michelle joined Bank Director in 2011. She is focused on leading the company’s business development, bank services efforts, marketing, public relations and branding. This includes efforts to reach senior bank executives and board members along with corporate clients and prospective clients. In addition, she frequently meets with CEOs, chairs of the board, c-level executives and members of the board to provide services and support to these officers and directors. Michelle is a member of the Bank Director board and serves on the Executive Committee.

Laura Schield is the chief operating officer of Bank Director and FinXTech, and has served in numerous roles with the company since her start in 2010. Her primary focus is overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the company. She is responsible for leading the planning and production of conferences and events, handling all aspects of human resources and managing the teams responsible for data, circulation, accounting and finance. She also integrates and implements new projects as the company continues to grow. Laura is a member of Bank Director’s board of directors and serves on the Executive Committee.
