Mark Kanaly is a partner at Alston & Bird LLP. Previously, Mr. Kanaly served as chair of the firm’s partners committee and chair of the firm’s financial services & products group. He represents corporate clients, with a focus on players in the financial services arena. Mr. Kanaly assists these companies with mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, public and private capital raising transactions, corporate governance, and a host of related regulatory matters.
Throughout the economic cycle, Mr. Kanaly has worked on some of the most innovative and recognized transactions in the country. Additionally, he regularly counsels boards of directors regarding strategic planning, regulatory entanglements, and internal corporate governance matters.
Mr. Kanaly is a nationally recognized speaker on various corporate topics, and his comments are regularly covered in the business press.

Shannon Moskal is a principal at Crowe LLP and the firm’s national regulatory response practice leader. With over a dozen years of financial institution testing experience, Ms. Moskal specializes in managing Internal Audit and Compliance Testing Issue Validation programs for both domestic and global organizations. Her expertise lies in guiding financial institutions through the complex journey of regulatory remediation and validation.
Ms. Moskal’s passion lies in building programs to address regulatory criticism and helping struggling institutions meet examiner expectations. She is a certified member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). She is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
With her extensive knowledge and experience, Ms. Moskal provides strategic guidance and support to financial institutions, steering them through the regulatory landscape effectively and helping them to achieve compliance excellence.

David Ruffin is a principal at IntelliCredit, A Division of QwickRate. His extensive experience in the financial industry includes an emphasis on credit risk in a variety of roles that range from bank lender and senior credit officer to co-founder of the successful Credit Risk Management, LLC consultancy and professor at several banking schools. A prolific publisher of credit-focused articles, he is a frequent speaker at trade association forums, where he shares insights gained helping lending institutions evaluate credit risk—in both its transactional form as well as the risk associated with portfolios based on a more emergent macro strategy. Over the course of decades, Mr. Ruffin has led teams providing thousands of loan reviews and performed hundreds of due diligence engagements focused on M&A and capital raising.
