Rob Azarow is a partner at Arnold & Porter and head of their financial institutions transactions practice.  He has extensive experience advising banks and other financial institutions on their most important transactional, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.  Mr. Azarow’s experience includes serving as lead corporate, transaction and regulatory counsel on financial institution mergers & acquisitions, financial asset acquisitions, branch purchases, joint ventures and collaboration agreements with fintech companies and other non-bank financial services providers, takeover defense strategies, and acquisitions of failed financial institutions and distressed assets from the FDIC.

Mr. Azarow also has extensive experience with public and private offerings of equity, debt, and hybrid securities, securities law compliance and related disclosure matters including how to incorporate ESG disclosures and the impact of ESG issues on investor activism. 

Further, Mr. Azarow has assisted financial institutions with their regulatory compliance matters, including response to examination issues, capital management and growth activities.

Eric Corrigan is a senior managing director and head of the financial institutions group of Commerce Street Capital, LLC.  He advises companies on mergers and acquisitions, balance sheet restructuring, business plan development and the private placement of capital for initial and secondary offerings, having advised on over $30 billion of strategic transactions and $35 billion of capital raises in a career spanning nearly 30 years.

Prior to joining Commerce Street in 2017, Mr. Corrigan was with FBR Capital Markets, and has spent portions of his career at KBW, Fox-Pitt Kelton and Citigroup, having started his investment banking at Salomon Brothers Inc.  In addition, he worked as a bank holding company examiner for the Denver branch of the Kansas City Federal Reserve District.

Mandi Simpson is a partner at Crowe LLP.  She started her career with Crowe in 2004 and has spent her entire career focused on the financial institution industry.  From 2016 to 2018, she served as a professional accounting fellow in the office of the chief accountant of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).  At the OCC, she spent much of her time on the agency’s CECL initiatives, including liaising with the standard-setters, developing and delivering examiner CECL training and working across the OCC to develop agency and interagency policies and positions.  Ms. Simpson leads Crowe’s CECL audit methodology and training initiatives and uses her significant CECL expertise to consult with financial institutions on implementation of the new standard.

Al Dominick serves on the board of DirectorCorps, Inc. The former CEO of Bank Director | FinXTech, he is a partner at Cornerstone Advisors.

Prior to Cornerstone and Bank Director | FinXTech, he ran the business development efforts for Computech, a Bethesda, Maryland-based information technology firm (now part of NCI — NASDAQ: NCIT). Before that, he worked for Board Member, Inc. in a variety of revenue-generating roles.

A 1999 graduate of Washington & Lee University, where he majored in Politics and was a four-year letterman on the varsity baseball team, he earned an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business in 2007.
