Well before Trump was elected, a group of conservatives published a plan, called Project 2025, to remake government and society. “The [Consumer Financial Protection Bureau] is a highly politicized, damaging, and utterly unaccountable federal agency,” Project 2025 states. “It is unconstitutional.
