Searching for Value in Bank Stocks

Tom Brown has been at the center of the U.S. banking industry for the last four decades, first as an award-winning stock analyst and later as the managing partner of Second Curve Capital, a hedge fund he founded 21 years ago to invest in bank stocks. In this edition of the Slant Podcast, Brown talks about the challenges of running a hedge fund, how he does his research and the kinds of companies that end up in Second Curve’s portfolio. He also dishes on some of the smartest – and dumbest – bank CEOs that he has met in his 40-year career.
