Mark Chorazak is a partner in the financial institutions advisory and financial regulatory practice at Shearman & Sterling LLP and is co-head of the fintech foundry by Shearman, a program designed to support the fintech-related activities of their clients and provide thought leadership, mentorship and advice to the wider fintech ecosystem. Mr. Chorazak provides strategic regulatory advice to banks, fintechs and private investors. He counsels on issues arising under key U.S. banking laws and was recognized by Business Insider as among the top fintech lawyers in the country.

Merry Piotti is a principal in Wolf & Company, P.C. advisory group and serves on the firm’s internal audit team, where she provides internal audit, consulting and risk management services to clients. She oversees the firm’s data analytics team combining operational and technological knowledge to perform model validation reviews, conversion testing and incorporate analytics into audits. With over 13 years of experience in the field, Ms. Piotti works with clients to provide full internal audit services, supplement internal audit capabilities, assist with specialized reviews and develop risk-based audit plans with outsourced and co-sourced internal audit departments.

Emily McCormick is Vice President of Editorial & Research for Bank Director. Emily oversees research projects, from in-depth reports to Bank Director’s annual surveys on M&A, risk, compensation, governance and technology. She also manages content for the Bank Services Program, including Bank Director’s Online Training Series. In addition to speaking and moderating discussions at Bank Director’s in-person and virtual events, Emily writes and edits for Bank Director magazine, BankDirector.com and Bank Director’s weekly newsletter, The Slant. She started her career in the circulation department at the Knoxville News-Sentinel and graduated summa cum laude from The University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and International Business.
