Todd Cuppia is a managing director and head of balance sheet risk management at Chatham Financial. Mr. Cuppia advises over 200 financial institutions across the U.S. and Europe on developing and executing strategies to manage complex economic risks. He brings nearly 20 years of capital markets and banking experience to help financial institutions implement successful interest rate risk management programs.
Prior to joining Chatham Financial, Mr. Cuppia spent 11 years with Stifel Financial as a managing director in the fixed income research and strategy group. He advised financial institutions, state and local government entities, pension funds on cross-sector relative value, macro-based portfolio strategies and derivative hedging strategies.

Jack Plants is the CFO and treasurer of Financial Institutions, Inc. and Five Star Bank. He joined Five Star Bank in December 2019 as senior vice president, corporate treasurer and was promoted to senior vice president, CFO and treasurer in February 2021. From 2012 to 2019, he served as senior vice president and treasurer of United Bank in Hartford, CT where he progressed from treasury manager to treasurer.
Prior to his tenure at United Bank, Mr. Plants served in various treasury and credit roles at GE Capital, GE Commercial Finance and Five Star Bank. He has extensive experience in balance sheet management, derivative strategy, capital markets, investment portfolio management, budgeting and forecasting, merger and acquisition execution, internal and external financial reporting, interest rate and liquidity risk analysis.

Ben Lewis is a managing director and global head of sales for Chatham’s Financial institutions practice. Mr. Lewis has worked with depositories of all sizes helping them manage interest rate risk through the prudent use of hedging strategies. Prior to his work with financial institutions, Mr. Lewis worked with private equity firms and REITs to hedge their interest rate and foreign currency risk.
Prior to joining Chatham, Mr. Lewis served 8 years in the U.S. Navy as a P-3C Orion Naval flight officer serving in both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
