Justin Corey is senior vice president and head of business development at NFP. He joined NFP in June of 2019 following NFP’s acquisition of Independent Bankers Insurance Services (IBIS), a multi-state agency specializing in insurance and risk management for commercial banks. He was acting president at IBIS at the time of acquisition where he had been since 2007. For the past 16 years, his concentration has been in the financial and professional coverage lines (management and professional liability, financial institution bond, cyber liability) and has worked with hundreds of banks in his career. In 2022, he was named to NFP’s Top Producer Council alongside a select group of NFP producers nationwide.
Mr. Corey has served in a consulting capacity for various insurance carriers with a well-established presence in the commercial bank space. This involved presenting to underwiring teams on coverage and claims trends, advising management on policy forms and developing marketing strategies. He currently works with over 200 banks across the US.

Lauren Kim is managing director of the financial institutions group for NFP. She leads the group and is responsible for management and growth initiatives in the financial institution sectors, including banking, capital markets, investment management, insurance and reinsurance. Ms. Kim has deep knowledge and expertise in the financial institutions space. She understands the complex and evolving risks financial institutions face and how to address those risks with insurance and legal solutions.
Before joining NFP, Ms. Kim was the financial institutions claims practice leader with QBE North America. At QBE, she provided superior client service in responding to the complex needs and legal exposures of financial institutions, serving as the subject matter expert in connection with legal and regulatory trends, claims analysis, and projections. She also worked closely with business partners and underwriters in analyzing coverage and policy terms.
Breakout 1: Bank Against Emerging Cyber and Fraud Risks
Cyber and fraud risk mitigation are chief and critical concerns for banks and rightly so. Criminals are evolving their attacks and methodologies and banks stand at the forefront of these risks. This session reviews the latest emerging cyber and fraud risks, from recent deep fake evolutions to old-school fraud not seen in years. We review these trends and risks – and importantly, also analyze where the insurance coverage lies for them. There are critical insurance coverages all banks should be sure they have in their insurance program. We also review the triggers for coverage to ensure that in the event of a loss, your bank is covered.
