Laura Hay is a partner at Meridian Compensation Partners, LLC. She has 25 years of experience advising institutions on executive compensation and its related governance. Specializing in banks, insurance, diversified financials and Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs), she believes that financial institutions provide the foundation for a strong economy and that good corporate governance results in long-term sustainability and shareholder value.
Ms. Hay advises boards and management teams on a broad array of compensation issues. Recent projects include compensation decision-making related to merger and acquisitions, equity plan strategy, pay and performance alignment, line of business compensation and proxy advisor guideline interpretation and consultation.
Prior to joining Meridian, Ms. Hay led the national banking industry group for a major compensation consulting firm. She also has corporate experience and managed the global executive and director benefit and stock plan programs for Duke Energy Corporation.

Susan O’Donnell is a partner at Meridian Compensation Partners, LLC. Ms. O’Donnell has over 25 years of experience advising boards and management on all aspects of executive and board compensation and governance. For the last 13 years, she has focused on serving the banking and financial services industry where she advises clients on the many compensation regulations and practices impacting the industry.
Ms. O’Donnell is an experienced speaker and writer on the topics of executive compensation, director compensation, corporate governance, pay-for-performance and succession planning. She is an active participant and speaker with national and local industry associations. Ms. O’Donnell has been a certified compensation professional (CCP) with WorldatWork for over 25 years.

Dan Kaufman is a partner at Meridian Compensation Partners, LLC, where he consults with boards of directors and senior management on all aspects of executive and director compensation. Areas of expertise include competitive benchmarking, short-term and long-term incentive plan design, alignment of pay and performance, compensation disclosure and technical issues. He advises public and private companies ranging from S&P500 companies to pre-IPO startups.
Mr. Kaufman has been involved with executive compensation issues for over 15 years both as a consultant and in a corporate role. He has a broad range of industry experience covering retail, financial services, healthcare equipment and services, business services, consumer goods and media. Mr. Kaufman co-leads Meridian’s retail team and is a member of the financial services team. He is a frequent speaker and writer on executive compensation trends and developments.
