Al Dominick is a partner at Cornerstone Advisors. He is a recognized influencer in the financial services and fintech arenas. Before joining Cornerstone, Mr. Dominick served as CEO of DirectorCorps, which operates various lines of business, including Bank Director, host of the annual Acquire or Be Acquired Conference, and FinXTech, a resource specializing in connecting U.S. bank leaders with innovative technology partners. He also hosted “Looking Ahead,” a digital series produced in conjunction with Nasdaq that focused on revealing major industry trends and strategy issues.

David Sandler is co-head and managing director of the investment banking financial services group at Piper Sandler & Co. Mr. Sandler is responsible for Piper Sandler’s financial technology advisory strategy, overseeing a team of seasoned professionals advising fintech companies and their sponsors on mergers, capital markets and growth through strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler & Co., Mr. Sandler was a principal and co-head of investment banking at Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. He worked with the firm’s clients in all aspects of strategic planning and franchise value enhancement, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, strategic partnerships and asset/liability management. Mr. Sandler is a frequent lecturer at banking graduate schools, trade associations and industry conferences. He is a thought leader in financial innovation, having advised on important transactions ranging from SoFi’s announced acquisition of Golden Pacific Bancorp to OnDot’s groundbreaking acquisition by Fiserv.

Mandi Simpson is a partner at Crowe LLP. She started her career with Crowe in 2004 and has spent her entire career focused on the financial institution industry. From 2016 to 2018, she served as a professional accounting fellow in the office of the chief accountant of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). At the OCC, she spent much of her time on the agency’s CECL initiatives, including liaising with the standard-setters, developing and delivering examiner CECL training and working across the OCC to develop agency and interagency policies and positions. Ms. Simpson leads Crowe’s CECL audit methodology and training initiatives and uses her significant CECL expertise to consult with financial institutions on implementation of the new standard.

Jack Milligan is editor-at-large of Bank Director magazine, a position to which he brings over 40 years of experience in financial journalism organizations. Mr. Milligan directs Bank Director’s editorial coverage and leads its director training efforts. He has a master’s degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University.
