Worsening Global Supply Chains Global supply chain problems are magnitudes worse than they’ve been in more than two decades and show little signs of returning to normal, according to one of the latest data sets from the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York launched its “Global Supply Chain Pressure Index” in May. The new index, which will be updated monthly, incorporates various supply chain indicators such as global transportation costs and supply chain-related components that are captured in the purchasing managers’ index, which is a monthly survey of supply chain managers across 19 industries tracking economic trends...
