COVID-19: IMPLICATIONS FOR BUSINESS By McKinsey & Co.The unexpected outbreak of a new coronavirus, COVID-19, is wreaking havoc on the global economy. How does this end? The consulting company McKinsey & Co. has written a report, “COVID-19: Implications for Business,” detailing two possible scenarios. In the first scenario, case counts of the new coronavirus in the U.S. rise until mid-April. By mid-May, the pace of the outbreak decelerates. “While the autumn of 2020 sees a resurgence of infections,” the report notes, “better preparedness enables continued economic activity.” The measures taken to achieve this — quarantines, travel restrictions and social-distancing measures...
