Richard Moore knows a thing or two about navigating a crisis. Twenty-some years ago, the chairman and CEO of $12.2 billion First Bancorp in Southern Pines, North Carolina, was the Tarheel state’s head of public safety. The company’s 120-branch footprint includes plenty of hurricane-prone Carolina coast, providing additional insight.
