Compensation Peer Exchange Session
The Compensation Peer Exchange focuses on all topics related to compensation for senior leadership, management, the CEO and the board, as well as the regulatory environment, peer groups, talent acquisition and succession planning. To open the Compensation Peer Exchange, we explore issues such as: 

  • Do you worry about losing your CEO/senior management to a competitor, within or outside of the industry, if your compensation is not competitive?  How do you manage this? 
  • Let’s talk about short-term incentive plans and the types of compensation your institution uses.
  • What is the role of your compensation committee?

Following a short refreshment break, we reconvene in the peer exchange session, building on earlier conversations by addressing topics such as:

  • How are directors at your institution compensated? 
  • How is the peer group selected for your bank? 
  • What metrics do you look at, and how have these changed in recent years?

Networking Lunch
We set aside an hour for all peer exchange participants to eat, check emails and return phone calls before resuming the afternoon sessions.

Compensation Peer Exchange Session
In this session, we expand our conversations to include questions like this for our Compensation Peer Exchange:

  • Have regulators commented on your compensation programs? If so, what has been their focus? 
  • Does your board have a mandatory retirement age or tenure-based limits? 
  • How is your board addressing talent management and succession planning matters?
