Conference Overview

Bank Director is proud to host the 7th annual Bank Audit Committee Conference on June 6-7, 2013 at the JW Marriott in Chicago, IL.  During this two-day event respected advisers, experienced bank officers and audit committee chairs will provide legitimate, practical approaches to help your board tackle critical audit committee issues.

At our 2012 event, 300 attendees took away new approaches for their board - on issues such as risk oversight, relations with internal auditors, new financial reporting requirements, regulatory mandates and loan portfolio challenges.  Please review this year's agenda - we hope to see you in Chicago!

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND - PRE-CONFERENCE ADD-ON:
BANK AUDIT COMMITTEE PRIMER AND BANK AUDIT COMMITTEE PEER EXCHANGE
Bank Audit Committee Primer
Prior to the conference on Wednesday, June 5 newer audit committee members and those needing a refresher can take advantage of a unique, interactive learning opportunity centered around those issues facing audit committees today - an overview of the audit committee's role, relationships with other members of the board, the changing regulatory environment and much more will be addressed during this conference add-on.  The Primer will provide excellent preparation and context to enhance the learning experience for attendees at the conference to follow.

The Primer is led by Patricia Langiotti, Chair of the Director's Enterprise Risk Committee and former Audit Committee Chair for National Penn Bancshares, Inc., and Lawence Schwarz, Audit Committee Member for Annapolis Bancorp Inc. and Audit Committee Chair for First Virginia Community Bank.

Bank Audit Committee Peer Exchange
Open to Bank Audit Committee Chairs only, Bank Director will again host this popular peer exchange the day before the annual conference begins.  Modeled on our annual Bank Chairman/CEO Peer Exchange, small groups of bankers ---along side one or two outside advisors--- meet in closed-door, off-the-record peer groups for candid discussions about various hot topics facing Audit Committees.  Prior to the event, Bank Director will solicit input from participants to develop the most relevant agenda.
